On Saturday June 25, 2022, Peace Point Meditation held our special Inner Peace By Candlelight event, a special outdoor meditation hosted by our vice abbot Venerable Patch and special guest monks Venerable Nick and Venerable Michael. Venerable Patch explained during the event that one of the reasons monks wear their iconic orange robes is because it symbolizes the flame of a candle, which can share its brightness with others without losing its own. As such, over 150 attendees came together to meditate in the fresh outdoor environment around a special candle arrangement, signifying the continuation of the brightness of the knowledge of meditation.
